Finding Funding Resources for Writers

My PostIf you’re like me, you may be wondering how to create art and make a living. At least, I’ve been mulling that over quite a bit. Now that I’ve graduated, how do I create a sustainable writing practice? Well, there is good news if you’re willing to put in a little work. There are fellowships, residencies, and funding available for writers. Here are resources that I use on a daily basis that I love. They have tons of opportunities, so check them out. Funds for Writers Sign up for Hope Clark’s newsletter. She sends out weekly newsletters listing contests, residencies, etc.

CRWOPPS (Creative Writers Opportunities List) This is a Yahoo list, I opt to get the daily digest.  This also has a variety of submission opportunities, job opportunities and more. To join the list, send a blank email to
